The course duration is 3 days(24hrs).The course objective is to cover the following areas:

• Lesson 1 – Assessment,Accident Scene Management
• Lesson 2 – Circulation,Wounds and Bleeding
• Lesson 3 – Respiration,Asphyxia and introduction to Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation(C.P.R.)
• Lesson 4 – Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation(CPR)-50% of this session to include CPR student practice.
• Lesson 5 – Unconsciousness
• Lesson 6 – Fractures,Sprains,Strains and Dislocations
• Lesson 7 – Burns and Scalds,Chemicals/Poisons,Electric Shock
• Lesson 8 – Medical Emergencies,Crush and Spinal Injuries

Participants are evaluated on the final day by an external examiner. On successful completion of the evaluation a 3 year valid Occupational First Aider Certificate will be issued.
